Our business community is working closely with the Napa County Public Health Office to redefine cleaning and safety standards throughout the Napa Valley, while still providing a joyful and memorable experience.

Our restaurants are committed to exceeding the highest health and safety standards based on guidance from the California Department of Public Health and other authorities to ensure the health and safety of guests, staff, and the Napa Valley community.


Protocols to Maintain Health & Safety:

Health and safety protocols will be communicated to guests in advance as part of the reservation process.

Signage will be posted at the entrance clearly stating current procedures, including that social distancing is in practice and advising anyone who is unwell to not enter the premises.

Capacity and table layouts will be based on current social distancing requirements.

All shared surfaces and any high touch areas will be regularly sanitized and tables and chairs will be sanitized before re-seating tables.

Wineries & Tasting Rooms

Winery-specific safety protocols are in place to ensure the health and safety of guests and winery employees while still providing the world-class Napa Valley experience.


Protocols to Maintain Health & Safety:

All winery tastings will be conducted outdoors and by appointment only.

Wineries will communicate health and safety protocols to guests in advance as part of the reservation procedure.

Surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, bathroom fixtures, chairs, pens, etc. will be disinfected on regular intervals and after each tasting appointment.

Wineries will reconfigure their outdoor tasting areas to ensure employees and guests maintain a minimum of 6 feet of separation.

Tasting menus will be disposable or made viewable from video screens or no-touch pads, and wineries will utilize touch free payment methods when possible.

Wineries that offer food pairings will follow COVID-19 specific guidelines on safe food preparation, handling and service provided by the US Food & Drug Administration.

Employees will regularly monitor for symptoms and take their own temperature each day before traveling to work.

Employees will wear face coverings while conducting tastings and when their responsibilities include working within six feet of others.
 
 

Hotels

Each of Napa Valley’s lodging partners are committed to exceed the California Hotel & Lodging Association’s “Clean + Safe Guidance” standards for the hotel industry by going above and beyond mandated requirements in order to protect the health and welfare of its guests and employees.

Increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing all public spaces including front desk check-in counters, bell desks, elevators and buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, room keys and locks, ATMs, stair handrails and escalators, gym equipment, dining surfaces, and all seating areas.

All guest contact points will be sanitized, including restrooms, countertops, doors, furniture, tables, TV remote controls, telephones, in-room control panels, light switches, temperature control panels, alarm clocks, luggage racks, and flooring, using CDS/OSHA approved cleaning supplies.

All lodging facilities will meet or exceed compliance with local and state mandated occupancy limits including guest elevators, restaurants, and other public areas.

Seating and physical layouts in all public areas (lobby, outdoor areas, dining outlets, meeting and conference rooms) will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing.
 
 

Shopping

As they begin to reopen, rest assured Napa Valley retailers have adopted the necessary health and safety best practices outlined by national organizations.

All high touch areas will be regularly disinfected after each use, including countertops, the register area, credit card machines, dressing rooms, light switches, and doorknobs.
